The J&K Government is mulling to hold Class X and Class XII examinations in Kashmir in-between the the municipal and panchayat elections.
The four-phase polling for local and urban bodies is scheduled from October 8 to 16. The nine-phase panchayat elections would begin from November 17.
To avoid any delay, officials said the board examinations would be held between October 17 and November 16.
“We can’t afford to hold examinations during the winter. It will create inconvenience to the students,” said an official.
