A week long Junior National Ski and Snow Board Championship concluded at the famous tourist resort Gulmarg of Baramulla district with Deputy Commissioner Baramulla Mohammad Aijaz Asad as the Chief Guest.
The championship was organised by Winter Games Association J&K in collaboration with J&K Sports Council in which young enthusiasts from across the country participated.
DC complimented the organisers as well as the participants for overwhelming participation in the event. He said that several sports events are being organised with an aim to channelise potential of our youth besides providing appropriate platforms for nurturing their talent.
He also added that sports play a vital role in psychological and mental development and urged upon the youth to actively participate in such activities. Meanwhile, the DC felicitated the winners and other best performing players by distributing prizes among them.
