Following the instructions of DYSSO Anantnag, Zonal Physical Education Office Qazigund conducted Cycle Race under the banner of “Azaadi ka Amrit Mahutsav” from GMS Kurigam Railway Station to GMS KEWA in which 77 participants including School Children and field staff took part. ZPEO Qazigund, G.N.Pala flagged off the Race.
The event was organised by the Zonal Physical Education Office Qazigund to communicate the 75 Years of India @75 under the banner Azadi ka Amrit Mahutsav.
After the successful conclusion of the Cycle Race, a presentation ceremony was held during which prizes were distributed among the first position holders to encourage them and others to participate in such events.
On the occasion, Zonal Physical Education Officer threw light on the importance of the event and underlined that healthy competitions in sports activities develop sportsmanship and discipline.
