Yousmarg to get BSNL 4G network

The BSNL has started the groundwork for the installation of a 4G tower in the tourist destination Yousmarg in Budgam district as a part of the government’s 4G saturation scheme.
After identifying the land, the authorities are in the process of providing proper mobile connectivity and internet services for the local residents and visitors at Yousmarg.
Deputy Commissioner Budgam, Akshay Labroo, told Rising Kashmir that under the Government of India’s 4G saturation scheme, the BSNL started the groundwork for the installation of a telecom network that would provide proper mobile connectivity and internet services to the tourist destination.
“The installation of the 4G BSNL tower will provide mobile network connectivity to the local residents who are living in the upper reaches of the area,” he said. “There is also a good number of local people living in the area. This will provide relief to them and tourists as well.”
The DC said the facility will also provide a livelihood to the local residents. “The youths from these far-flung areas can provide a lot of digital services to the local residents,” he said.
