DPS Srinagar students clinch three gold medals in Zonal Badminton Tournament

In a remarkable display of skill and determination, Talha Nadeem and Abdur Raqeeb, students of Delhi Public School Srinagar, swept the finals of the Under 19 Inter school zonal level badminton tournament for boys, securing three coveted gold medals.
The tournament, organized by the Department of Youth Services and Sports Zone Amira Kadal, took place at Girls Middle School Kothi Bagh Srinagar. The DPS Srinagar team dominated the event, clinching victory in both singles and doubles categories with a clean 2-0 score against opponents from SP Higher Secondary School.
Principal Shafaq Afshan expressed her elation, stating, “Witnessing our students excel in sports is truly heartening. Their achievements continue a legacy of sporting excellence that our school takes pride in.”
Chairman Vijay Dhar also extended his congratulations, highlighting the school’s commitment to nurturing excellence. He said, “At DPS Srinagar, we instill a culture of striving for excellence in every student. These medalists exemplify our school’s tradition of outstanding achievement. Congratulations to all!”
