Police organise cricket match for specially-abled persons in Anantnag

In a tribute to the late DySP Shaheed Hamayun Muzamil, Police in Anantnag organised a cricket match for specially-abled persons at District Police Lines Anantnag.

The event aimed to promote inclusivity and provide an opportunity for specially-abled individuals to showcase their talent and love for sports.

The match featured two teams, Anantnag Blues and Anantnag Whites, with Anantnag Blues emerging victorious by 44 runs. SSP Anantnag Dr. G.V. Sundeep Chakravarthy, inaugurated the event as the chief guest and highlighted the role of sports in fostering unity, empowerment and inclusivity.

Following the match, trophies were awarded to both teams, with Anantnag Blues receiving the winner’s trophy and Anantnag Whites received runner-up trophy.
