The District Speed Skating Championship kicked off at Gindun Stadium in Srinagar with an enthusiastic turnout from young skaters across Kashmir. The opening day saw impressive displays of talent, energy and sportsmanship.In a statement issued the event was warmly hosted by Dilbagh Singh, Manager of Gindun Stadium, and witnessed the presence of Divisional Sports Officer Nusrat Ghazala and Mr. Mushtaq Zargar, Manager of Bakshi Stadium. Their encouraging words boosted the morale of the participants. Skaters from the PMDP Centre at KNS Stadium Radpora delivered a remarkable performance under the guidance of Coach Mohammad Salman (J&K Sports Council). Trained at the KNS Stadium Khanyar, they clinched an impressive medal tally of 9 Gold, 6 Silver, and 3 Bronze. It was a proud day for Radpora skaters and a big win for the growing speed skating culture in the Valley.
