The District Table Tennis Championship 2025 commenced today at SK Stadium Bandipora with enthusiastic participation from budding table tennis players across the district. Organized by the District Table Tennis Association Bandipora, the three-day championship will serve as a qualifier for the upcoming State Table Tennis Championship.
The opening ceremony was graced by the Second-in-Command, 14 RR Bandipora as chief guest, along with guest of honour Sahil Syeed Lone, Bollywood film director; Ayaz Ahmad, In-charge SK Stadium Bandipora and other dignitaries. The chief guest lauded the organizers and participants, emphasizing Bandipora’s growing sports culture and the importance of nurturing young talent. “It is heartening to see the youth, including girls, excelling at state and national levels. Such events provide a platform for showcasing skill, discipline, and sportsmanship,” he remarked. Players from various schools and clubs are competing in both boys and girls divisions across different age categories.
