J&K Wushu Players Secure Place in National Coaching Camp

Three players from Jammu and Kashmir Suryaansh Singh, Praznath Wangoo and Sohil have been selected for the National Coaching Camp (NCC) at Ahmedabad in preparation for the upcoming 10th Junior World Wushu Championship to be held in Tianjin, China.


The selection trials were conducted at Manipur, Chhattisgarh and Ambala. The Sports Authority of India has sanctioned a junior Wushu coaching camp at the National Centre of Excellence, Ahmedabad. The final selected team will also undergo foreign exposure training in China ahead of the World Championship.
Office bearers of the Wushu Association of J&K, including Vijay Saraf (Vice President), Ranjeet Kalra (VP), Bhavneet (General Secretary) and Sohit Sharma, congratulated the trio for bringing laurels to the Union Territory.


Dronacharya Awardee Kuldeep Handoo also extended his best wishes and thanked the J&K Sports Council for its continued support to the athletes.
