Popular Punjabi singer and actress Sunanda Sharma is currently vacationing in Kashmir along with her family and close friends, once again showcasing her love for the valley’s scenic beauty, hospitality, and culture.
According to sources close to the singer, Sunanda arrived in Kashmir on May 5 and initially stayed in Srinagar before travelling to the tourist destination of Pahalgam for a leisure trip. Some of her Kashmiri friends also joined her during the visit.
The 34-year-old singer has been actively sharing glimpses of her Kashmir tour on social media, where several videos and pictures have attracted attention from her fans across the country. In one of the videos shared on her Instagram handle, Sunanda is seen enjoying lunch at a local Kashmiri household while appreciating the warmth and hospitality of the people of Kashmir.
“Kashmir is beautiful not only because of its landscapes but because of its people and their love,” she is heard saying in one of the clips posted online.
During her stay in Srinagar, the singer also visited a popular local restaurant in the Bishember Nagar area where she relished Punjabi cuisine and interacted with locals and fans. Her visit drew excitement among young admirers, many of whom gathered to catch a glimpse of the singer.
Sunanda is known for her admiration for Kashmir and has frequently visited the valley over the past few years. Last year alone, she visited Kashmir twice, exploring various tourist destinations, trying traditional local food, and creating social media reels in the lush green fields and picturesque landscapes of the valley.
In 2024 too, the singer had spent time exploring several parts of Kashmir, sharing moments from her travels with millions of followers online. Her repeated visits are being seen by many tourism stakeholders as a positive sign for Kashmir’s growing appeal among celebrities and tourists alike.
Tourism players in Kashmir said that visits by celebrities and influencers help promote the valley as a preferred travel destination and encourage more tourists from across the country to visit Jammu and Kashmir during the summer season.
