Jammu and Kashmir’s education sector received national recognition after a delegation from the J&K secured the first prize at the 15th Annual Conference of the Private Schools and Children Welfare Association (PSACWA) held in Hyderabad from June 19 to 22.
The delegation was honoured for its outstanding educational initiatives, innovative practices and significant contributions during the technical sessions of the four-day national conference.
The delegation was led by the president PSACWA J&K, Dr Baba Nazrul Islam.The conference brought together educationists, school administrators, policy experts and child welfare advocates from across the country to deliberate on key issues concerning inclusive and holistic education, child welfare, educational leadership and emerging learning ecosystems.”The award, presented to the J&K delegation among participating states, was seen as a recognition of the efforts being undertaken by private educational institutions and stakeholders in the Union Territory to promote quality education and student welfare,” the handout reads.Baba Nazrul Islam has expressed gratitude to the organisers and termed the award as a reflection of the dedication and commitment of educators and school leaders in J&K.
He stressed the need for collaborative efforts to strengthen educational quality, innovation, equity and child welfare across the region.The delegation also used the national platform to explore emerging educational models and best practices.
On the sidelines of the conference, members interacted with officials of Mimber Academy and visited its institutions in Hyderabad to study the academy’s “My Young Scientist” Laboratory Development Initiative.
The delegation examined possibilities for introducing similar innovation-driven scientific learning laboratories in schools across J&K.
