Under the ongoing national campaign ‘Ek Ped Desh Ke Naam’, the officers and jawans of the 54th Battalion, Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF), in collaboration with Wildlife Range Officers, jointly conducted a mega tree plantation drive in the Fishary area of Dachigam National Park.
The initiative saw enthusiastic participation from both force personnel and wildlife department officials to promote environmental conservation. The drive was led by 54 Bn Jagdev Singh Yadav, Second-in-Command, Anil Thakur DC, and Ashwani Kumar and Hanuman Singh Yadav AC.
Additionally, Wildlife Range Officer Rayees Ahd. Reshi, along with other forest officials, along with commandos of the QAT 5B 54 Bn, and personnel of the 54th Battalion, joined the event with great fervor.
Addressing the gathering, the chief guest, Jagdev Singh Yadav 2-ic, highlighted the critical importance of planting trees in light of the severe global warming challenges ahead.
Emphasizing that protecting the environment is the need of the hour to ensure a secure future for upcoming generations. He urged everyone to plant and nurture at least two trees in their lifetime.
Concluding his address, Jagdev Singh Yadav raised an inspiring slogan to motivate the personnel: “Suraksha ka Sankalp hamara, Hara bhara ho paryavaran sara”. The participants also took a solemn pledge to protect and maintain the newly planted saplings.
