The 35 Bn CRPF has concluded a one-month skill development programme under its Civic Action Programme 2026, training 50 youth in tailoring and hand embroidery.
Of the total participants, 25 were trained in self-employed tailoring and another 25 in hand embroidery. The programme was aimed at equipping participants with practical, employment-oriented skills and encouraging self-employment and entrepreneurship.
The closing ceremony was presided over by 35 Bn CRPF Second-in-Command Vipul Kumar in the presence of senior officials, trainers, representatives of Vitasta Youth Forum and other dignitaries.
Addressing the participants, Kumar congratulated the trainees and said skill development should translate into practical livelihood opportunities, self-reliance and entrepreneurship rather than remain limited to certification.
He said the initiative reflected the community-oriented approach of the Civic Action Programme, which seeks to promote education, skill development and livelihood opportunities through engagement with local communities.
Certificates were distributed among the participants on completion of the training.
Vitasta Youth Forum Director Sadakat Lone congratulated the trainees and appreciated the CRPF for facilitating the programme.
The participants expressed gratitude to the CRPF, trainers and other stakeholders for providing them an opportunity to acquire practical skills and improve their prospects for self-employment.
