Budding mountaineer from Kashmir, Nahida Manzoor scales Mt Deo Tibba in Himachal

Budding mountaineer from Kashmir, Nahida Manzoor led the girl cadets of National Cadet Corps (NCC) team to the successful summit of Mount Deo Tibba. 6001 Mts. high peak Mount Deo Tibba is the 2nd highest peak in Pir Panjal Range of Himalayas in Manali, Himachal Pradesh.

Nahida who is an avid mountaineer, along with another mountaineer from Kashmir Danish Mukhtar from Anantnag had scaled 5289 meter altitude Friendship Peak in Manali, Himachal Pradesh last month.

“It is just the beginning of a long and tough journey. Now I am eyeing to scale world’s highest peak Mount Everest. Since it is quite easy to say than do, that is why I use the term Long and Tough journey for my dream expedition to Mount Everest. It is not about ability and skills but also about the amount of money involved in training, preparation, equipment and other related things,” she said.
