CRPF Friendship Cup under aegis of Srinagar Sector was organized by 73 Bn at Bemina under Civic Action Programme 2024.
10 local teams from Central Kashmir comprising District Srinagar, Gandarbal, Budgam participated in the 3-day Volleyball tournament in which J&K Police Public School remained victorious.
IG CRPF Srinagar Ajay Kumar Yadav, presented winning trophy along with prize money of Rs. 11,000/- and Sports Kit.
The runner-up team was awarded Rs. 5,000/- and Sports Kit for the team.
Remaining 08 teams were also rewarded Rs. 1,000/- each besides complete Sports Kit in the CRPF Friendship Cup as consolation. Speaking on the occasion, IG exhorted upon the sportsmanship and interest shown by the respective teams during the tournament.
He encouraged the youth to participate in various Sports Schemes announced by Government of India such as National Sports Talent Contest Scheme (NSTC)& Fit India Movement; Khelo India; Special Area Game Scheme &; Target Olympic Podium Scheme.
