CRPF Women’s Yashasvini Rally Commences at Lal Chowk

The 3rd edition of the Yashasvini High Altitude CRPF Bike Expedition 2025 was flagged off Tuesday from the historic Lal Chowk in Srinagar by Director General CRPF Gyanendra Pratap Singh.

As per a statement issued here, the expedition features 33 fearless women bikers of the Central Reserve Police Force, who will journey from Srinagar to the breathtaking Pangong Tso Lake in Ladakh via the world’s highest motorable pass, Khardung La.

Covering nearly 1,400 km over nine days, the rally will culminate with their return to Srinagar on 1 October. The bikers will carry the National Flag along with the Force’s message to the nation — “Desh Ke Hum Hain Rakshak” — symbolising patriotism, national integration, and women’s empowerment.

Congratulating the riders, DG CRPF G.P. Singh described them as “torchbearers of the Force” and lauded their resilience, grit, and teamwork. “They deserve special appreciation and gratitude,” he said, adding that the CRPF “stands with the people of Kashmir in every situation” while expressing thanks for the continued support of the local population.

The event was attended by senior officers including Anamika Singh, President CWWA Sundari Yadav, Zonal Head CWWA, Deepak Kumar, ADG (Training) CRPF, Rajesh Kumar, ADG J&K Zone CRPF, SJM Gilani, SDG (Coordination) PHQ J&K Police, Vidhi Kumar Birdi IGP Kashmir Zone, Vineet Brij Lal, IG Kashmir Ops Sector CRPF and Pawan Kumar Sharma, IG Srinagar Sector CRPF, along with senior officers of the J&K Police and civil administration.

The flag-off ceremony also featured colourful cultural performances, including the traditional Kashmiri folk dance Rouf and a Taekwondo demonstration. DG CRPF also honoured Veer Naris and families of martyrs who were specially invited, assuring them of all possible support and assistance.
