Deputy Commissioner (DC) Kupwara, Shrikant Suse on Friday chaired a meeting of revenue officers to review key matters pertaining to the Revenue Department.
According to a statement issued here, during the meeting, the DC undertook a detailed review of key performance indicators of the Revenue Department including the digitization and quality check of Jamabandis, progress on online services under the Public Service Guarantee Act (PSGA), SVAMITVA and other essential revenue-related issues.
Tehsildars were directed to formulate micro planning at tehsil level for timely Digitization of Jamabandis and Massavis so as to monitor the daily progress to accomplish the targets with in the timelines set up by the Administrative department.
The Deputy Commissioner stressed upon the officers to work with full zeal, dedication, and a time-bound approach, cautioning against any form of lethargy towards the work.
The DC also took a detailed review of the status of online public grievances, stressing the need for time-bound disposal to ensure that citizens do not face unnecessary delays. Officers were directed to ensure public service delivery as mandated under PSGA and monitor performance of field functionaries. He also stressed on regular administrative inspections of field offices to improve service delivery.
