Er. Aijaz Hussain, BJP Leader and DDC Member Srinagar, on Monday inaugurated the Under-12 and Under-15 Football Tournament at the historic Polo Ground, Lalchowk. The tournament is being organized by the Kashmir Grassroot Football Academy with the objective of encouraging youth engagement and nurturing sports culture in the region.
During the inaugural ceremony, Er. Aijaz Hussain interacted with young players and coaches, commending their passion and discipline towards the game. He lauded the efforts of the organizers for providing a professional platform to emerging talent and reaffirmed his commitment to promoting sports at the grassroots level.
Er. Aijaz assured full support to the academy and players, emphasizing that sports not only develop physical fitness but also instill values of leadership, discipline, and unity among youth.He encouraged local youth to pursue sports as a constructive path and a means of nation-building.
The event saw enthusiastic participation from several local teams and drew the attention of sports lovers and community members from across Srinagar. Notably, senior football players from the Valley who have represented the country at national and international levels were also present on the occasion, further motivating the young participants.
