Gopi Singh Rathore Army Goodwill School Bandipora organized a plantation drive under the initiative of Seva Parv (a nation wide compaign)in collaboration with the district forest department Bandipora..
This campaign, running from September 17 to October 2, is designed to honor PM Modi’s lifelong dedication to the spirit of ‘seva’ (service).
Almost 20 students from different classes participated in this event. The principal of the school and Forest Officer Bandipora were also part of this event.
Outcome: Students became aware that Sewa Parv is a national initiative to celebrate the spirit of Sewa (service) as the truest form of patriotism, contributing to the end goal of VIKSIT BHARAT Many saplings were planted in the surroundings of the school.
Caring for the saplings taught the students practical gardening skills and instilled a sense of responsibility in them. This activity encouraged students to investigate how and why things happen in nature, improved their critical and creative thinking abilities.
