In a significant move towards bolstering economic opportunities for displaced and migrant communities, the Jammu and Kashmir (J&K) Government disbursed financial aid to 350 young individuals from various backgrounds including displaced families from Pakistan-occupied Jammu and Kashmir (PoJK), West Pakistan Refugees, and Kashmiri migrant families. The momentous occasion was overseen by Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha at the Convention Centre.

Addressing the gathering, Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha described the event as a landmark day for J&K, emphasizing the transformative impact of providing financial assistance to these communities. He highlighted the importance of nurturing an entrepreneurial spirit among the youth to drive socio-economic progress.

During a Special Governance camp, various government departments, District Industry Centres, KVIB, and the J&K Mission Youth, in collaboration with J&K Bank and the Relief & Rehabilitation department, conducted outreach programs to engage with aspiring young entrepreneurs.
Lieutenant Governor Sinha underscored the commitment of the UT Administration, guided by Prime Minister NarendraModi, to cultivate a conducive environment for entrepreneurship in the region. He emphasized that entrepreneurship offers not just a livelihood but also a pathway to realizing dreams and aspirations.

He commended initiatives like ‘Sewa Se Swabhimaan’ by J&K Bank, aimed at empowering Kashmiri migrants and displaced families.
