IUST hosts orientation program for new students

The Islamic University of Science & Technology (IUST) today inaugurated a three-day orientation program from September 2 – 4, 2024, on campus. The event aimed to welcome and guide new students from various departments, including the School of Engineering, Postgraduate programs, and Four-Year Undergraduate Programs (FYUGP).

The program was inaugurated by Prof. Ayaz Hassan Moon, Dean of Academic Affairs, who welcomed the students. He said that the orientation program is designed to ensure that the students are well-prepared to navigate their academic journey at IUST. During the program, the students interacted with Dean of Students, Director of IT&SS and Controller of Examinations,

and other officials including Proctor, Hostel Provost, Assistant Director of Sports, Coordinator of Placements, Librarian, and ABC Coordinator. The orientation program, which will cater to about 1500 students over three days, will conclude with department-wise visits coordinated by the respective Heads, ensuring students are well- acquainted with their academic environment.
