J&K excels at Mixed Martial Arts championship in Jaipur

 Jammu and Kashmir athletes delivered a standout performance at the 4th Mixed Martial Arts All India Championship in Jaipur, where students from Delhi Public School Srinagar emerged as top medal winners, including three national champions across various age and weight categories.

As per a statement, Syed Amaan, a class 8 student, was crowned National Champion in the U-14 featherweight category. Aisha and Kafil Wani also won gold medals as national champions. Mehran Shams added a silver medal to the state’s tally, while Sheikh Mohammed Musa, Mohib, and Maaruf Shams secured bronze medals in their respective categories.

The statement added that the students’ outstanding performance was a testament to their rigorous practice and dedication. The success of these young martial artists showcases the potential that lies within J&K’s youth, bringing pride to the state.
