J&K Highlights Tourism Opportunities at ITM Dehradun

The Department of Tourism, Jammu & Kashmir participated in the India Travel Mart (ITM) Dehradun. The event witnessed participation from tourism stakeholders, tour operators and travel industry representatives from across the country, providing a significant platform for networking, collaborations and promotion of tourism destinations.


The Jammu & Kashmir Tourism delegation was led by Director Tourism Jammu, Vikas Gupta, who actively interacted with various tour operators, travel planners and stakeholders to promote the diverse tourism potential of the Union Territory.


He was accompanied by Mir Nasrool Hilal, CEO Pahalgam Development Authority and Vishal Sadhotra, Assistant Director Tourism, who also engaged with visitors and stakeholders during the event.


The Jammu & Kashmir Pavilion attracted considerable attention from visitors and industry representatives, showcasing the region’s rich cultural heritage, scenic landscapes, adventure tourism opportunities and pilgrimage tourism circuits.


Speaking on the occasion, Director Tourism Jammu, emphasized the immense potential of Jammu & Kashmir as a premier destination for adventure, leisure, heritage and pilgrimage tourism and highlighted prominent destinations of the Union Territory viz. Patnitop, Bhaderwah, Shri Mata Vaishno Devi, Basohli, Reasi, Pahalgam, Gulmarg and Sonamarg.


Visitors and travel stakeholders expressed keen interest in exploring the diverse tourism offerings of Jammu & Kashmir.


The participation of the Jammu & Kashmir Tourism Department in the event was held under the supervision of Dr. Ashish Chandra Verma, Additional Chief Secretary, Tourism, Jammu & Kashmir.
The participation in ITM Dehradun reaffirmed Jammu & Kashmir’s commitment to strengthening its presence in the national tourism market and promoting the Union Territory as a leading travel destination.
