The Hon’ble Lieutenant Governor of Jammu & Kashmir, Shri Manoj Sinha, made a significant visit to the Headquarters of Shakti Vijay Brigade in the Tangdhar Sector today. His visit focused on reviewing the security preparedness and ongoing operational developments in the border region. During his time at the Brigade Headquarters, LG Sinha was briefed in detail about the current progress and strategic execution of Operation SINDOOR.
The operation, which is aimed at enhancing border security and neutralizing potential threats, was presented as a model of precision execution, robust coordination, and rapid response capabilities. Senior Army officials highlighted how the mission has been progressing with a sharp focus on surveillance, intelligence gathering, and proactive measures to counter infiltration and other security challenges. The briefing underscored the Indian Army’s unwavering vigilance, combat readiness, and resolute commitment to safeguarding the nation’s frontiers, particularly in the sensitive Tangdhar sector.
In his interaction with the troops of the Shakti Vijay Brigade, LG Manoj Sinha commended the soldiers for their valour, high morale, and steadfast dedication to duty. He praised their relentless efforts in maintaining peace and security in one of the most challenging terrains in the region.Recognizing the dual role played by the Indian Army, the Lieutenant Governor expressed appreciation for their contribution not only to national security but also to the welfare of the local civil population in the border areas. “Your commitment to safeguarding our borders while extending support to local communities is truly commendable,” LG Sinha remarked, boosting the morale of the troops.
The Lieutenant Governor’s visit also emphasized the synergy between the civil administration and the Indian Army in addressing security challenges and promoting stability in the region. He assured the Army of the UT Government’s complete support in strengthening infrastructure and logistics to enhance operational effectiveness along the Line of Control (LoC). He further stressed the importance of continued coordination between civil and military establishments to ensure the well-being of residents in border areas.
