J&K Secures ₹4,224 Cr Road Connectivity Boost Under PMGSY-IV

Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha has expressed gratitude to Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Union Rural Development Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan for approving 316 road projects in Jammu and Kashmir under Batch-I of the Pradhan Mantri Gram Sadak Yojana-IV (PMGSY-IV).

Sanctioned at an estimated cost of ?4224 crore, the projects represent the largest-ever PMGSY package for the Union Territory. J&K is also the first among all States and UTs to receive approval under the latest phase of the scheme

The approved 1781 kilometers of road length will connect 390 eligible habitations with a population of over 250, significantly improving rural road infrastructure in remote areas.

“This landmark approval will provide a major boost to rural infrastructure and usher in a new era of development in remote regions,” the Lieutenant Governor said in a post on X
