Kashmiri ITI Students Receive Recognition from PM Modi

Three students of Kashmir from Industrial Training Institutes who have asecured top positions in All India Trainee Test (AITT) 2025, were honoured by Prime Minister Narendra Modi at  Kaushal Deekshant Samaroh held at Vigyan Bhawan in New Delhi.

The Kaushal Deekshant Samaroh marked the fourth edition of the National Skill Convocation, during which the top performers from the ITIs under the Ministry of Skill Development and Entrepreneurship are recognised.

The students who received accolades from the Prime Minister are Simran Mehraj, Saqib Hamid from Govt. ITI Srinagar, and Nazia Syed Gojar Lolli from Govt. ITI Bemina.

In an interview with Rising Kashmir, Nazia Syed Gojar Lolli said  that after completing her 10th grade examinations, she was selected for the Government ITI Bemina in 2023, where she finished a two-year course in draughtsman civil.

“I also secured the top position in  All India Trainee Test (AITT) 2025, securing the first rank in AITT 2025. During my two years at the Government ITI Srinagar, I dedicated myself to my studies,” she said.

Nazia said that a draughtsman civil is responsible for creating technical drawings, blueprints, and plans for construction and infrastructure projects, such as buildings, roads, and dams, based on sketches and data provided by civil engineers and architects. The draughtsman civil course serves as the foundational course in civil engineering, equipping students with essential knowledge about the field.

“Currently, I am enrolled at the Kashmir Government Polytechnic College Srinagar, where I am pursuing a diploma in civil engineering. After completing the draughtsman civil course at Government ITI Bemina, I was granted direct admission into the third semester of the college,” she said.
