Maha Darakshan, a senior pharmacist in Sher-e-Kashmir Institute Srinagar, bags gold medal in the special convocation held by Kashmir university
Darakshan, Master’s in Pharmacy in 2014, secured gold medal for her meritorious performance in academics. She’s presently working in SKIMS srinagar as senior pharmacist.
Darakshan is known for her brilliance in prose and poetry also. She has publications in various international journals of pharmaceutical science.
Belonging to Rawalpora srinagar, she has authored numerous articles on different srinagar dailies. Her struggle to fight male chauvinism in the work places is known to everyone.
The convocation was presided by Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha who felicitate girls for securing maximum golds in the special convocation. In the session, 240 girls received gold medals against 72, that went to boys.
