Pulwama Carrom Championship 2025–26 Concludes Successfully at Tral

 The District Pulwama Carrom Championship 2025–26, organized by District Pulwama Carrom Association under the auspices of the J&K Carrom Association, concluded successfully at the Bajwani Sports Stadium, Tral, Pulwama.

The event was held under the flagship initiative “My Youth My Pride” of the Jammu & Kashmir Sports Council, aimed at promoting sports culture and youth engagement across the region. Around 80 players participated in four categories—Cadet, Sub-Junior, Junior, and Senior, in both boys & girls / men & women sections.

The closing ceremony was graced by Md. Akram, Manager Sports Stadium Tral; Arif Sultan Khan, Treasurer, J&K Carrom Association; Zahoor Ahmad Sheikh, President, District Carrom Association Pulwama; Peer Musadiq, Executive Member, District Association Pulwama; along with other officials and association members. Mementos and medals were awarded to the Winners, Runners-up, and Third-place holders across all categories.

In the Cadet Girls category, Arooja Maqbool secured first place with an impressive performance, followed by Aisha Akram in second and Fiza Ameen in third.

Mohammad Adhyaam-ul-Haq topped the Cadet Boys category, while Anas Irfan finished second and Mohammad Tahir claimed the third position.

The Sub-Junior Girls event was dominated by Duaa Farooq, with Zia Zarafshan taking second place and Faika Shabir finishing third.

In the Sub-Junior Boys category, Rish Hiban emerged as the winner, followed by Ariz Waheed in second place and Burhan Muzaffar in third.

Soliha Batool secured first place in the Junior Girls category, with Zainab Aijaz finishing second and Zia Mushtaq taking third.

The Junior Boys competition saw Dayim claim the top spot, while Ariz Junaid finished second and Mohammad Adheen took third.

In the Senior Women category, Nayla earned first place, followed by Mahroosa in second and Tanzela in third.

Sehraan Rasool emerged victorious in the Senior Men’s category, with Faisal taking second place and Abdul Muntaqeem finishing third.

The District Pulwama Carrom Association expressed its sincere appreciation to the Jammu & Kashmir Sports Council, officials, volunteers, and all participants for their valuable contribution in making the championship a grand success.

The Association reaffirmed its commitment to the continued promotion and development of Carrom across the Pulwama district.

The championship was declared open yesterday by the association officials and successfully concluded today.
