Shahid Hilal of Silat Macan Kumbang, Ellahi Bagh Stadium, Srinagar, won the gold medal in the 60-65 kg weight category at the 2nd Edition of the Khelo India Beach Games (KIBG) 2026, held in Diu.
The games are organized by the Union Territory of Dadra and Nagar Haveli and Daman & Diu, under the technical supervision of the Sports Authority of India (SAI) and the respective National Sports Federations. Expressing gratitude, Shahid acknowledged the support of the India Pencak Silat Federation, his international coach Suhud Indratno and India’s Chief Coach Irfan Aziz for their guidance. He dedicated the victory to his parents, praising their constant support.
Shahid’s gold medal highlights Kashmir’s growing presence in Pencak Silat and marks a significant achievement for the region’s sporting fraternity.
