Chief Minister Omar Abdullah on Monday laid foundation stones for six major sports infrastructure projects at Beehama, marking a significant investment in the district’s sports ecosystem.
The projects include upgradation of Beehama Stadium, Madri-Meherban Stadium, and development of playfields at Gund Rehman, Manigam, Wakura and Batwina, aimed at nurturing local sports talent and providing modern facilities to the youth.
On the occasion, the Chief Minister also unveiled new sports equipment for young athletes. The event witnessed impressive demonstrations of Judo, Thang-Ta and Yoga, reflecting Ganderbal’s vibrant sporting spirit.
