A host of sports activities under youth outreach action plan ‘Khelo Shopian” begin in South Kashmir’s Shopian district on Wednesday.
Various sports events were held at Boys Higher Secondary School Shopian, High School Bohrihallan and Shadaab Karewa in which popular sports including martial arts, marathon race, cricket, football indoor and outdoor games were played.
The main aim to organize such events was to impart and inculcate the sense of discipline and sportsmanship among the participants.
District Development Commissioner Shopian has passed directions to the heads of the government and private schools to organize events regarding sports like, cricket, football, volleyball, martial arts, marathon race and other sports activities.
