In connection with ongoing River Festival program being celebrated from 15 to December 25 under Azadi ka Amrit Mahotsav, the District Administration Sringar Friday launched an extensive cleanliness drive on the banks of River Jehlum from zero bridge
The drive was conducted on the directions of the Deputy Commissioner Srinagar, Mohammad Aijaz Asad by the Jal Shakti Department and in collaboration with SMC.
The purpose of the cleanliness drive was to inculcate the importance of cleanliness to the people so that they do not litter garbage into the river.
