District Wushu C’ship concludes

The District Wushu Championship for the year 2024-2025 concluded on a high note at Gindun Stadium, with over 250 participants competing in various categories.

Chief guest Dr. Waleed Karra praised the athletes for their exceptional performances and highlighted the role of sports in the holistic development of youth. Mohammad Iqbal, Manager of Gindun Stadium, also expressed his appreciation for the participants, coaches, and organizers for making the event a grand success.

Notable figures like Mushtaq Ahmad Sofi and Irfan Ah Wani were present to show their support for the athletes. Special recognition was given to the Wushu Association of Jammu & Kashmir and the J&K State Sports Council for their continuous efforts in promoting sports in the region.

The championship’s success was attributed to the leadership of Kuldeep Handoo , whose vision and dedication to the sport have inspired countless athletes. Indoor Wushu Academy emerged as the overall champion, while New Convent High School was the runner-up. The event marked a milestone for Wushu in the region.
