In a major boost to the emerging sport of pickleball in the region, the Jammu & Kashmir Pickleball Association (JKPA) has gained official affiliation with the Indian Pickleball Association (IPA), recognised by the Ministry of Youth Affairs and Sports Government of India as the National Sports Federation (NSF) for the game.
As per a release issued on Friday, this affiliation brings national legitimacy to JKPA, unlocking structured development, funding, and pathways for representation at national and international levels.
Led by President Farid Singh, Secretary Viraj Singh, and Director (Jammu) Ajay Waid, JKPA is the governing body for pickleball in Jammu & Kashmir. It focuses on grassroots development, inclusive access, and a robust competitive calendar.
The association remains committed to making J&K a leading pickleball destination for all age groups and skill levels.
