JKTABF and IUST Join Hands to Promote Academia-Industry Cooperation

 The Jammu & Kashmir Tourism and Allied Businesses Forum (JKTABF) signed its first official Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the Islamic University of Science and Technology (IUST), Kashmir) in the presence of Chief Minister Omar Abdullah Sahab.

The MoU was formally signed by Mushtaq Chaya, Chairman JKTABF, and senior representatives from IUST, said a press release.This landmark collaboration aims to bridge the gap between academia and the tourism industry by preparing a new generation of skilled professionals in sectors such as hotel operations, event management, transportation, and other allied services. The partnership will pave the way for structured training programs, internships, and professional certification courses, ensuring the creation of a well-trained, professional workforce to meet the growing demands of the tourism and hospitality sector in Jammu & Kashmir. Speaking on the occasion, Mushtaq Chaya said that the initiative will help shape the tourism industry more professionally and provide it with qualified manpower capable of driving sustainable growth and excellence in service standards.
