Deputy Commissioner Baramulla, S.F Hamid on Tuesday chaired a review meeting to assess the progress and implementation of various beneficiary-oriented and self-employment schemes across the district.
During the meeting, a detailed presentation was delivered by the concerned officers, highlighting the physical and financial progress achieved under key beneficiary-oriented schemes such as JKCIP, HADP, PMMVY, PMAY, ICDS and other social welfare Schemes.
The review also covered self-employment schemes including Mission YUVA, PMEGP, REGP, HADP and NRLM (UMEED). The presentation further outlined challenges faced and targets set for the coming months.
The Deputy Commissioner emphasized the need for effective implementation, timely disbursement of benefits, and enhanced coordination among departments to ensure maximum coverage of eligible beneficiaries.
He stressed strengthening monitoring mechanisms and directed officers to work proactively to boost self-employment opportunities and ensure beneficiary-oriented schemes reach the grassroots level effectively.
Among others, Chief Planning Officer Baramulla Nissar Ahmad, General Manager DIC, Assistant Commissioner Development, and other concerned officers attended the meeting.
