In a significant step towards promoting education, digital literacy, and youth empowerment in the border region, the Indian Army has inaugurated a Study Hub and Skill Development Centre in Machil, Kupwara.
The newly established centre is equipped with modern Information Technology (IT) facilities, vocational training infrastructure, and a well-stocked library, providing students and local youth with access to quality learning resources and skill-based education.
The initiative is aimed at enhancing educational opportunities and improving employability by offering training in digital skills, vocational courses, and self-learning. The library will serve as a dedicated space for students preparing for academic examinations as well as competitive exams.
Residents of the Machil area welcomed the initiative, describing it as an important milestone for the region’s educational development. The facility is expected to bridge learning gaps, encourage skill development, and create better career opportunities for young people living in remote border areas.
