J&K Sports Council announces open selection trials for Sub-Junior Girls Football Team

The Jammu & Kashmir Sports Council has announced to conduct the open selection trials for the formation of the J&K Sub-Junior Girls Football Team, which will represent the Union Territory in the forthcoming Sub-Junior Girls National Football Championship 2026 to be conducted under the aegis of the All India Football Federation (AIFF).

The Sports Council, as per a statement, has invited talented, eligible female footballers from across Jammu and Kashmir to participate in the trials.

As per the notified schedule, selection trials for players from the Jammu Division will be held on July 13 and 14, 2026, at 10:00 AM at the Mini Stadium Synthetic Turf, Parade Ground, Jammu. Simultaneously, trials for players from the Kashmir Division will take place on July 13 and 14, 2026, at 10:00 AM at the Synthetic Turf Football Stadium, TRC, Srinagar.

Players shortlisted from both divisions will participate in the final selection trials, scheduled for July 16 and 17, 2026, at 10:00 AM at the Synthetic Turf Football Stadium, TRC, Srinagar.To be eligible, players must be girls born between January 1, 2013, to December 31, 2014, and must be permanent residents of the Union Territory of Jammu & Kashmir.

Participants are required to bring original documents along with two self-attested photocopies of each for verification. The mandatory documents include an original birth certificate issued by the Municipal Corporation or competent authority, an Aadhaar Card updated with a recent photograph, and two passport-size photographs.

The Sports Council has advised all participants to report at the venue in complete playing kit comprising jersey, shorts, stockings, shin guards and football boots/studs. No travel allowance or daily allowance will be provided to players attending the trials.
