Ahmed Taha Bags Double Gold at National Pencak Silat Championship

Ahmed Taha Masoody, a 13-year-old martial arts prodigy from Srinagar, clinched two gold medals at the 13th National Pencak Silat Championship 2025 held in Koppal, Karnataka. Competing against over 1,500 athletes from across India, Taha secured top positions in both the Tunggal and Solo events.


With this win, Taha has become a 14-time national champion, continuing his streak of gold medals for the sixth consecutive year. Trained under India’s chief coach, Mohd. Iqbal, Taha has earned 36 medals at various levels, including 33 gold.


Balancing studies and training, Taha aspires to represent India at the Olympics, inspiring young athletes across Jammu & Kashmir with his dedication and discipline.
