Dr. Irfan Ahmad Lone, a renowned physiotherapist from Jammu and Kashmir, was conferred with the prestigious “Young Achievers Award” during the World Physiotherapy Asia-Pacific Regional Conference held at Yashobhoomi, New Delhi, on September 26, 2026.
The high-profile international convention brought together leading healthcare professionals, researchers, and policymakers from across the region to celebrate outstanding achievements in physical therapy and allied healthcare.
The award acknowledges Dr. Lone’s exemplary dedication to the field, innovative clinical practices, and relentless efforts in advancing patient rehabilitation.
His contributions were lauded by global delegates and senior dignitaries present at the ceremony, highlighting his impact as an inspiring healthcare professional and a model of modern interdisciplinary medical practice.
Dr. Lone currently serves as State Transplant Coordinator with State Organ and Tissue Transplant Organization (SOTTO) Jammu and Kashmir.
In this pivotal role, he has been instrumental in strengthening organ donation infrastructure, driving public awareness campaigns, and streamlining transplant coordination across the Union Territory, significantly improving patient outcomes in critical care and rehabilitation.
