General Officer Commanding (GOC) White Knight Corps, Lieutenant General P K Mishra today visited Basantgarh area here to review the overall security situation and operational preparedness.
He was accompanied by the GOC Counter Insurgency Force (Delta) during the visit.
The senior Army officer was briefed on the existing security grid, deployment of forces, surveillance measures and response mechanisms in place to deal with any contingency.
Discussions were also held on further strengthening coordination among various security agencies to ensure effective operations.
The GOC stressed the need for constant vigilance and proactive measures to maintain peace and stability in the region.
He also called for regular review of strategies to tackle emerging security challenges.
