Local trekkers Ahmad Sameer, Adnan Amin and Moomin Mushtaq successfully summitted Mt. Mahadev, about 4000 mt peak

Local trekkers Ahmad Sameer, Adnan Amin and Moomin Mushtaq successfully summitted Mt. Mahadev, about 4000 mt peak and camped there.

The trio started the trek from Dara in Srinagar at 8 am on April 13 and expected to climb the first day but due to bad weather, the trio had to delay the summit push and camped at the base of the mountain.

Next morning, the trio headed to the summit carrying 15 kgs weight each and finally made it at 11 am despite bad weather and harsh snow conditions.

The trio camped at 4000mt ASL summit peak for 3 hr before the weather turned extreme. The trio had to decent due to the wind factor and avoid a snow storm. The trekkers reached base back safely.

The snow-trek in Kashmir is becoming increasingly popular. Visit Kashmir and enjoy snow-treks to different peaks.
