Nasha Mukt J&K Abhiyan Outreach Expands Across Schools in B’pora

 The ongoing 100-Day Nasha Mukt Jammu and Kashmir Abhiyan continued across Bandipora district on Wednesday with expert talks, guest lectures, pledge ceremonies, plantation drives and awareness programmes organised in various educational institutions to educate students and the public about the harmful effects of drug abuse.

Expert talks and guest lecturers under the Nasha Mukt Jammu and Kashmir Abhiyan were organised at HS Tarabal, HSS Chuntimulla, HS Panar, HS Kehnusa, BHS Onagam, HS Garoora, HSS Nowgam Bandipora, HSS Gadakhud, GHS Nadihal, GHS Naidkhai, HS Achoora, PM SHRI HSS Shahgund, HS Jurniyal Tulail, GHS Hajin, HSS Sumbal, HSS Madwan and HSS Budoab Tulail.

During the programmes, experts, religious scholars, doctors and officers highlighted the ill effects of drug addiction on physical and mental health, emotional well-being, education, careers and society. Speakers also sensitised students about resisting peer pressure, adopting healthy lifestyles and contributing towards a drug-free society.

Speakers delivered awareness lectures on drug abuse and other social evils, urging students to stay away from harmful practices and lead disciplined lives and emphasised the importance of spiritual and moral values in shaping a responsible society.

At PM SHRI Girls High School Sumbal, a plantation drive was organised in collaboration with the Forest Department Bandipora as part of the anti-drug campaign. Staff members, students and Forest Department officials participated enthusiastically in the plantation drive and later took a pledge to stay away from drugs and spread awareness against substance abuse.

The programmes witnessed active participation of students, teachers, officials and community members, reflecting the collective resolve of the district towards building a healthy, aware and drug-free society under the Nasha Mukt Jammu and Kashmir Abhiyan.
