In a major boost to grassroots football in Jammu and Kashmir, young footballers participated in an intensive training and orientation session conducted by professional coaches ahead of the much-anticipated Kashmir Champions Football League (KCFL).
The session focused on enhancing players’ technical abilities, tactical understanding, teamwork, discipline, and overall game awareness. Coaches guided participants through various drills and exercises aimed at improving ball control, passing accuracy, decision-making, fitness, and match readiness.
Organizers said the initiative is designed to nurture local talent and prepare aspiring footballers for competitive opportunities while promoting a culture of sportsmanship and excellence. The orientation programme also emphasized the importance of discipline, dedication, and teamwork—qualities considered essential both on and off the field.
The upcoming Kashmir Champions Football League is expected to provide a significant platform for young athletes to showcase their skills and gain valuable competitive experience. The league aims to identify emerging talent and contribute to the development of football across the Kashmir Valley.
