Indian Army Empowers 40 Doda Students Through Free Sainik School Entrance Coaching

In a meaningful initiative aimed at promoting education and empowering young minds, the Indian Army has started providing free coaching for the Sainik School entrance examination to 40 students in Doda district of Jammu and Kashmir under Operation Sadbhavana.

The initiative, launched by the 10 Rashtriya Rifles (RR) at Doda Army Camp, reflects the Indian Army’s continued efforts to support students from local communities by creating opportunities for quality education and helping them achieve their academic aspirations.

Through this programme, 40 students are receiving specialised coaching to prepare for the Sainik School entrance examination. The initiative is designed to provide students with the necessary academic guidance, learning resources and preparation support to improve their chances of securing admission to prestigious Sainik Schools.

For many students, gaining access to quality coaching can be challenging due to financial limitations and the limited availability of specialised educational facilities in remote areas. By offering free coaching, the initiative seeks to reduce these barriers and ensure that deserving students get an opportunity to compete in entrance examinations on an equal footing.

Sainik Schools are recognised for their emphasis on academic excellence, discipline, leadership, physical fitness and character development. Admission to these institutions can open new pathways for students, helping them build confidence, develop leadership qualities and prepare for future responsibilities.

The coaching programme under Operation Sadbhavana is therefore more than an academic support initiative. It represents an investment in the future of young people, encouraging them to pursue their ambitions with determination and confidence.

Operation Sadbhavana, a people-centric initiative of the Indian Army, has been instrumental in supporting communities across Jammu and Kashmir, particularly in areas where access to educational and developmental opportunities can be limited. Through various programmes focused on education, healthcare, skill development, sports and community welfare, the initiative aims to strengthen relationships between the Army and local communities.

In the education sector, such initiatives play an important role in helping students overcome challenges and access opportunities that can positively shape their future. Free coaching programmes, educational support and youth-oriented activities also encourage young people to focus on learning, personal development and constructive engagement.

The latest initiative by 10 RR in Doda highlights the importance of providing young students with the right guidance and support at an early stage. It also reflects the broader vision of empowering youth through education and creating an environment where talent and determination can translate into meaningful achievements.

For the 40 students participating in the programme, the coaching offers an opportunity to work towards their dreams of joining Sainik Schools and building promising careers. With structured preparation and dedicated guidance, they can move closer to achieving their goals.

As Jammu and Kashmir continues to witness various youth development and educational initiatives, programmes like these demonstrate how community-focused efforts can make a lasting difference.

By investing in education, encouraging ambition and supporting deserving students, Operation Sadbhavana continues to contribute towards shaping a brighter future for the youth of Doda.

The initiative sends a positive message that every child deserves an opportunity to learn, grow and succeed, regardless of geographical or financial challenges.
