Life has seen many twists for 24-year-old Baramulla’s Amir Rahim Naik, who has transitioned from engineering to writing and also aims to tackle one of India’s most challenging tasks of UPSC Civil Services Exam.Having finished his B.Tech in Mechanical Engineering and a Master’s in Public Administration, Amir is now set to take the UPSC.
But it’s not just about long hours of studying and sheer ambition that define his tale. Somewhere along the process, he found a strong passion for writing and assisting others.Even during exam preparation, Amir finds time to mentor young candidates. He provides study advice, inspires them to remain regular, and advises them not to lose hope.
“Helping others keeps me strong,” he explains.Amir has already written three books which include, The Man Who Refused to Break, You Called It Love, and Ashes of Ambition. While the first two deal with love and heartbreak, the third understands the woes and aspirations of youth. All three books are on Amazon Kindle and have penetrated into readers outside Kashmir, earning him plaudits from various quarters.For Amir, writing is not just a pastime.
It’s a means of transforming adversity into lessons and defeats into tales. “Every setback is a chapter, not the end. If you turn your pain into purpose, nothing can defeat you,” he said.He wishes his life story inspires Kashmiri youth to have faith in themselves and overcome challenges. His lesson is straightforward: not only is success about individual development but also about taking others along the way.With perseverance in studies and commitment to readers, Amir goes on to juggle two demanding worlds studying for UPSC and penning stories that bring hope.
